New Missouri record largemouth … on a trotline!

Yes, in Missouri you can get a bass in the record books by catching it on a trotline ... or a jug ... or a limb line.

Dylan Gilmore was hoping to catch a few catfish for the dinner table, but when he pulled in his trotline, he got a big surprise. It was a 9-pound largemouth and a new state record for a trotline!

Missouri not only recognizes trotline-caught bass in their record book, but you can also get in the book with a big smallmouth taken jug fishing (the current record is 4-3) or with a spotted bass taken limblining (you need to beat 1-12).
