Junior Championship launches

Though she was on the 46th of 51 boats that launched Tuesday morning at Carroll County 1,000 Acre Recreational Lake in Huntingdon, Tenn., for the start of the Costa Bassmaster Junior Championship sponsored by DICK's Sporting Goods, Laindree Richardson was among the first anglers in the parking lot waiting for the 6 a.m. start. She's paired with Illinois' Trey McKinney in the national title event that features two-person teams from 28 states and Canada.

Carroll County 1,000 Acre Recreational Lake really is a pretty place. It opened only four years ago, after being in various stages of planning since 1984.
