Hot Product Press: Storm Arashi Deep 25

What is it?

Storm Arashi Deep 25

What does it do?

This is a crankbait designed to go deep, and it does just that.

How do I use it?

Find the heaviest action cranking rod you own, spool up a reel with 15-pound-test fluorocarbon, tie on this giant plug and let her dig to new depths. In recent years, we’ve seen a push to go deeper as more and more anglers begin to fish offshore.  The interest in deeper than deep diving crankbaits has several anglers and lure manufacturers exploring new depths. Elite Series pro Brandon Palaniuk designed this crankbait to reach depths other crankbaits couldn’t. During the Lake Havasu Elite this year, Palaniuk deployed this crankbait and the new Arashi Deep 18 to target fish where other anglers were using soft plastics, jigs and drop-shots. This crankbait pushed Palaniuk into the Top 10 at Havasu and it can pull fish from the depths for you too.

What sets it apart?

A deep diving crankbait needs to do three things: dive deep, run true and bring fish to the boat. The Arashi Deep 25 has a circuit board lip designed to cut through the water, sending this crankbait deeper quicker. The Arashi Deep 25 also has the same self-tuning line tie found in the entire Arashi line of crankbaits. This line tie allows the crankbait to bang off cover and regain its original trajectory much faster than crankbaits with traditional fixed line ties. The floating line tie also ensures every Arashi Deep 25 will run true straight out of the box, no need to tune your crankbait anymore. Lastly, getting bit does nothing if the fish doesn’t make it to the boat. This crankbait uses hook hangers mounted perpendicular to the crankbait as opposed to running inline with the lure like traditional crankbaits. Rotated hook eyes allow for larger treble hooks on the Arashi Deep 25 which gives anglers a little more of an advantage when hauling bass in from the depths.
