Gear Review: Yeti Ramblers

What is it?

Yeti Ramblers

What sets it apart?

Yeti certainly didn’t abandon the cooler business; rather they expanded their cutting-edge technology into more cool products that live up to the hype. The Rambler series of drinkware is the first line of Yetis you can fit in your hand. And, yeah, they’re way over-engineered to be virtually indestructible, and to keep your drink as cold (or hot) as science allows. With 18/8 stainless steel construction, double-wall vacuum insulation, and No Sweat Design, they’re perfect for the deer lease, bass boat, cleaning table, or just the times in between your outdoor adventures.

How do I use it?

Fill up with your favorite beverage or soup, and keep it handy. The bigger bottles — available in 18-, 36- and 64-ounce models — great for long outings requiring specific types of hydration, while the 10-ounce Lowball will keep the your iced whiskey cold without fast dilution.

Editor insight:

Yeti has something figured out, no question about it. I have put ice water in the larger bottles to see the ice last for hours, but keeping the water very cold. And, the 10-ounce Lowball is a fine example of reality: I guess I’m a bourbon snob. I like quality whiskey, and I use an pre-molded ice ball to keep it cold. But I don’t like the ice melting quickly and diluting the drink. The Lowball has virtually solved that problem. Try it out, trust me — you’ll thank me later.
