Gear Review: YETI LoadOut GoBox 30

What is it?

YETI Rambler LoadOut GoBox 30

What sets it apart?

Having your gear accessible and protected is non-negotiable for almost any pursuit – and yet typical gear cases aren’t built to stand up to the demands of the outdoors, and lack organizational capabilities. Built to be nearly indestructible, the LoadOut GoBox™ can endure seasons in the sun, negative temps in the field, and the daily abuse of being lugged in and out of the truck, the boat, and the blind.

How do I use it?

First of all, and this is important, this is not a cooler. This is a tough-as-nails gear box for the outdoors. It comes with a divider, a caddy, and a neat thing they call a Pack Attic that is inside the lid. It’s as if YETI made a box for some of our camera equipment, to be honest. But it could also be used for a whole host of things that will be outside often.

Angler’s insight:

This box is the perfect companion for your YETI cooler. It could hold all your cooking gear for camping out, a whole lot of tackle trays and line, and nearly anything else you can think of. The pockets in the lid are pretty great for small objects, and the divider and tray included are perfect for medium-sized ones. YETI doesn’t cut any corners when building things, and it shows. It’s too soon for me to know how much abuse this can take but there’s no reason to think that this won’t hold up to anything I can throw at it. Like all YETI products, you are paying for durability and reliability, and it’s clear the GoBox has both.
