Gear Review: Safe Lure Case

What is it?

Safe Lure Case

What does it do?

Keeps hardbaits and treble hooks covered when stowed

How do I use it?

After you’ve tied on a crankbait or jerkbait to your line, the Safe Lure Case eliminates the need to directly hook the lure to a rod guide or lure keeper. The case has a small plastic hook on the bottom that will keep it stationary along the rod during storage and travel. The nice thing about the plastic hook at the bottom of the case is it won’t mar the inside of your rod guides, like a hook can.

How much?

$3.49 per individual, or available in bundles $10.47-$69.80

Editor insight:

The Safe Lure Case will reduce tangles and keeps treble hooks from impaling your hands, which is a good thing. We all know the frustration of trying to grab a rod at the bottom of the rod locker, only to have to untangle it because the lure is snagged on the carpet or other rods—it’s a pain. The Safe Lure Case has eliminated that frustration and added safety, especially if you have kids around who also love to fish.
