No landing nets allowed

To qualify for the Bassmaster Classic berth that's in play here the next two days, you're going to have to do it under Classic rules, which include no landing nets.

That's a change from the Team Championship rules in place the past two days.

It will be interesting to see if that no-nets rule becomes a factor. I'd guess not, but there seems to be a strong crankbait bite, which can produce some heartbreaks near the boat.

However, a landing net is much more effective when you've got a partner manning the net, while the other angler has both hands to use on the rod-and-reel while playing a fish.

These guys are on their own now.
