Just caught back up with Randall Tharp. He's stuck on one small keeper.
"I went through my best stretch and had one bump. That's Seminole, baby."
Seminole is notorious for building you up and then tearing you down. Hero or zero. Hit or miss. Not a lot of in between. That's why you have a couple dozen metal boats running up the Flint River this week, fishing for the more consistent shoal bass bite. Not a lot of giants up the river, but someone stands a chance of consistently catching 14 pounds and surviving to win this thing.
Tharp's not worried yet, though.
"I have a back up plan and don't have to leave down here until 5 o'clock. I'm not worried."
A few seconds later, Tharp added, "but I am getting a little concerned."
