Justin Lucas posted the first keeper of the day on BASSTrakk at 7:25 a.m. – 1 pound, 5 ounce. That's significant because it indicates how long it's taking to get to the Delta. Takeoff began at 6:15. Lucas' catch came near the confluence of the Sacramento and San Joaquin rivers, at the eastern edge of the Delta. Only one other angler, Kenyon Hill, has made it further west than Lucas.
In other words, the Delta waters have barely seen a cast from an Elite Series angler this morning, but they're coming.
