A few minutes after he made the decision to throw back his second fifth keeper, Pirch hooked up again. This fish took him around the back of the boat away from us, so all we could see from our view was the cameraman's back side.
Pirch got the fish in hand though, and held the 2-pounder up for the spectators, which included a houseboat that had started chugging its way up the lake.
This one went in the well and Pirch spent a few minutes making sure it was his fifth - don't want to get caught with six in the well and incur the 2-pound penalty.
With five in the boat, he has the rest of the day to upgrade. One of his keepers is a nice one close to 4 and three are solid keepers.
