After a long stretch of inactivity, Evers has finally made a move. We followed him another couple miles upriver to a spot where he saw a bedding fish yesterday. The path to get here was equivalent to a cow path, just a couple feet of open water through the tules. He said the fish he's looking for is in the 5-pound range and refused to bite yesterday. The drone of the big boats going up and down the river is muted, but still recognizable. That said, a break from the constant roar is welcome to our ears.
