We made the run over and found Mike Iaconelli, who has boated a couple of big fish, according to BASSTrak. In a scene reminiscent of the 2013 Classic on Grand Lake, a dog started barking on the bank a few minutes after Iaconelli pulled up on this spot. He didn't yell at the dog like he did at Grand, but he did pull up his trolling motor and leave the area within seconds of hearing the hound. It's either too early in the Classic for dog-induced theatrics, or Iaconelli is showing restraint.
Casey Ashley has moved into the area, along with his spectator flotilla. A spectator who has been following Ashley says he culled a few minutes ago. I don't think it moved the needle much, but every bit helps.
