Jonathon VanDam is keeping his chin down on a slow-producing pattern. He's almost on a fish-per-hour catch rate, but the bass are the kind he needs to move up in the points.
The wind is beginning to lay down and the sun is close to peaking through, which could turn these fish on. JVD is drifting and dragging in 30-40 feet of water, and he's said several times that he's bored with it. But he knows that if this method is catching fish, he'll stick with it.
Rinse and repeat.
We just watched him put his fourth fish in the boat, and it looked to be a nice addition.
His chin is down and he's focusing. One to go.
