Mark Davis is putting on a show, without picking up his Power Poles. In this spot, he's just added a 5 1/2-pounder to the 4-plus and the 6 1/2 he caught here earlier. He let out another whoop when he set the hook on the last one and took his time before lipping it from the driver's seat.
We asked him how much weight he had now, and Davis said, "I don't know."
Then we heard him doing the math with his marshall, saying, "I've got a 6, a 5, a 4 and two 2-pounders."
That adds up to 19 pounds. But we think those are conservative estimates, and he's probably got at least 20 pounds – at 9:45 a.m.
