The shouting just started again for Mike Iaconelli and his entourage. After two fishless days near a refinery on the Delaware River, Ike's persistence paid off with his third bass of the day, a 2 1/2 pounder.
"That was big, a big moment for me," Iaconelli yelled, as he dropped his rod in the boat. "Three days I've been fishing here."
That gives him a total in the 6 1/2 to 7-pound range. Having started the day with a 6-pound, 9-ounce lead, Ike will be almost impossible to catch if he gets to the 10-pound mark.
