Grigsby having to break one off

Grigsby set the hook hard and expressed disgust that the fish had taken him into the log. A few seconds later he realized that the fish was still on, still digging under the cover. He circled the log several times, dropping his power poles to try to untangle the bass. He pulled, he jabbed, he poked, he twisted, but it was just too deep to reach down to it. "I hate to break a fish off, but there's nothing you can do," he said. Snap. Get another one out, retie, back to work. Ouch.
