Martens and I had a long conversation on his way back through. He is disappointed that he spent a lot of time fishing during practice on non-current related spots. He said the tide tables are off and that has hurt him. He believes his chances for fishing tomorrow will be greater if he could put another two pounds in the boat. His perception at this point is that the population of fish is not that high and these anglers are putting some pressure on them. He feels that there is plenty of bait in the river but the tide drop won't allow a very productive spawn. He politely told me he had to change locations and headed off down the Delaware.
