Aaron Martens started this tournament in Little Bay de Noc and he's back there again this morning. He just caught a 3 1/2-pound smallmouth to get his day started.

But Martens is going to need bigger bass than that to make a move in the AOY race. His 17-6 total on Thursday put him in 21st place, behind both Greg Hackney and Todd Faircloth.
