A few miles upriver we see a bowlegged angler working a jerkbait. It's "G-Man" Gerald Swindle. He's fishing a relatively shallow hump, which is 13 feet deep.
Swindle switches to drop shotting with spinning tackle and promptly boats a 2-pounder.
"I don't have but four keepers," Swindle says.
The rain has held off. It's partly cloudy but bright sunlight shines on Swindle's boat. The day is warming, the breeze is gentle. It's a great day to sack a heavy limit. The pros had better make hay today.
There's no telling what the weather will bring tomorrow. Should the wind blow, the fishing will get much more challenging.
