We're on Ott DeFoe who is fishing the middle of the river west of Hill. He reports that he has boated six bass, four of which were big enough to go in the live-well. It's 27 feet deep under our boat and you can see the bottom, despite the overcast.
DeFoe is drop shot fishing. No surprise there. Silver says you need at least a 3/8-ounce weight to stay on bottom in the current. There are three other tournament boats in sight. One of them is Kurt Dove.
