The highs and lows of Day Three

There are highs, and there are lows.

Cliff Crochet, who was in third place beginning this tournament on the Sabine River, seemed to struggle on Saturday, with the same backwater bite he had the past two days being non-productive today.

Crochet flipped incessantly upon the banks of his fishery, but it was a hard bite for him. When we last saw him, he didn't have a keeper bite.

Gary Klein was in the same area as Crochet, and he too, was struggling on Saturday. Klein had one fish that appeared to be about two pounds. That was at 1:45 p.m., right before Klein (and Crochet, for that matter,) headed to the launch in Orange.

The story of the day, at least for these two Elites, was a rough go. Both guys flipped, pitched and cajoled whatever they could from the fishery. Not much was happening, though.

"I thought you were going to bring me some good luck," Klein called out to the bank.
