True to Ish's word, we jetted about two miles up the Coosa and found John Murray flipping a jig into some dense bushes along the bank. Murray is in sixth place and said he has about 11 pounds in the boat today.
"I've got a lot of little ones. I'd like a big one. That would be really good." He said he's caught them on jigs and crank baits today. Now, he's on a River2Sea Touchdown Jig and he's down to his last couple because he's lost many jigs this week in the roots. He's using 50-pound braid, as well.
Randy Howell, who has pretty much lived in the Bouldin Dam Canal this week, just motored past, heading toward the Gold Star Park where we launched earlier this morning.
The rain has held off so far, which is a blessing. My borrowed pair of rain pants were just returned to fellow Dotcom writer and good buddy Steve Wright.
