McDade is slowing down a bit

McDade is slowing down a bit. Wilks nabbed a few tiny fish on his crankbait, and Martens hasn't seen any action since his last solid keeper. Fletcher Shryock is still flipping down the opposite bank with Allan Glasgow and Randy Howell, while Andrew Upshaw is headed back to ward the mouth slowly.

No doubt this place will be slammed tomorrow, but it may not be as good. The thing it has going for it is the fact that the water has warmed up a bit to 60 degrees, which may bring another wave of prespawn fish to the shallow flat Wilks has been so fond of. What can hurt it is the sheer number of boats that will be here tomorrow, both anglers and spectators. Pool 4 is looking like a major player as well, with  four - maybe all five - of the top five pros fishing there. Dustin Wilks is faring the best of the McDade bunch, and is tied for sixth - according to BASSTrakk.
