The first tournament of the year for the Western PA Team Bass Series was at beautiful Raystown Lake in Huntingdon PA. We launched with a cold 26-degree air temperature, calm winds, and a little bit of ice. It was partly cloudy all day long and we eventually warmed up to 37 degrees with 10 mph winds. The water temperature ranged from 40 to 45 degrees throughout the day.
The fishing was tough but someone always rises to the top and that team was Steve Hughes and Dale Black with a weight of 15.71 pounds and the only limit of the day. The second place team was Doug Savino and Michael Savino with 9.19 pounds. They also caught the biggest fish in the tournament weighing in at 5.41 pounds. Rounding out the Top 3 is the team of Andy Getsy and Chad Shutt with 8.84 pounds. As tough as the weather and fishing was we had no shortage of competitors willing to take on the challenge, great job guys and we look forward to seeing you at the next one.
