Wendlandt looking to “get well” at Neely Henry

Clark Wendlandt surprised himself with 15 pounds 13 ounces and third place on Day 1. His practice, like most, had been tough.

Today he’s focused on areas near bridges and has two keepers for 2 pounds. That has him sitting in sixth place in BassTrakk for the moment.

After winning the 2020 Angler Of The Year Wendlandt has has a disappointing 2021 campaign. He’s 50th in AOY after finishing 93 at Fork, 30 at Sabine, 60 at Pickwick, 52 at the Tennessee River, and 55 at St. Johns.

There’s still time to get this season on track, with four Elite tournaments remaining (counting this one). Wendlandt certainly has a good start here at Neely Henry.
