Rain and thunderstorms will be possible at times throughout the event weekend for the Berkley Bassmaster Elite at Kentucky Lake presented by Abu Garcia. Skies will be mostly cloudy throughout the day today with afternoon highs topping out in the upper 70s to just at 80 degrees. Winds will be out of the southwest roughly around 10 MPH. We'll have a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms today, only around 30%, but since lightning is a possibility, STAY WEATHER AWARE.
Unfortunately, the weather situation doesn't get any better on Saturday, as we'll have a better chance of showers and thunderstorms throughout the day on Kentucky Lake. Temperatures at launch will be in the lower 60s and will warm into the lower 70s for the afternoon high. Winds will be out of the northeast to north at 2-6 MPH. Thunderstorm chances will be highest during the morning to just after noon, then decreases for the remainder of the afternoon. No severe weather is expected, but lightning will once again be a possibility. STAY WEATHER AWARE.
We may be able to stay dry throughout the entire day on Sunday with mostly sunny skies, but there will be a very small risk of a shower or a thunderstorm by the early afternoon hours. Temperatures will start off in the lower 50s but will warm into the upper 70s by the afternoon. Winds will be out of the northwest at 2-7 MPH.
Normal temperatures for early May in this part of Tennessee usually top out in the mid-70s for the high and the lower 50s for the low. Today and Sunday's high temperature will be slightly above normal, while Saturday's high will be slightly below normal. We are in the Waning Gibbous phase of the moon, and the third quarter arrives on Monday evening.
Much of the same story for Monday... Mostly sunny with a very small chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Launch temperatures will be in the mid-50s and will top out in the mid-70s by the afternoon. Winds will be out of the north at 4-9 MPH. Chance of rain is only 20% at this time.
