Nic Rand and Keegan Russell of Lake Superior State are the Day 2 leaders at Lake of the Ozarks, but as we approach 2 hours of fishing action, they have yet to set the hook into a fish and they seem a little worried. They started close because their best area produces in sunny conditions and with clouds and rain they audibled to fish their close areas.
They just noted how much clearer the water was in the backs of the creeks they are fishing. Yesterday they were chocolate milk and they were able to catch them on a variation of spinnerbaits and chatterbaits. As they got to clearer water they noticed those baits produced less for them and that seems to be the case so far.
They also noted they saw 55 to 56 degree water here on Thursday and its sitting at 51 to 52 right now.
