A total of 230 boats

Day 1 of the Costa Bassmaster High School National Championship presented by DICK'S Sporting Goods at Kentucky Lake gets underway as 230 teams from across the country head out for competition.

Meet the Florida teams

Florida Team of the Year, Joey Bloom and Colin Blanton (above), have put in their time this week and figured out a little something here on Kentucky Lake. This is one of many fish the team has caught in the five days of practice. The boys are ready for Day 1.

Representing Florida, coming in second place in the State Championship, is Team Zach Temperly and Ashton Schmitt (below) who have figured out some mix of bass here on Kentucky Lake. The team is ready to go on Day 1.
