Anglers begin to funnel in for the registration and briefing meeting at Southern Open #2 on Lake Chickamauga. In just a few minutes every seat will be filled as the full field is pushing the 200-boat maximum.

A few of us are lined up at one of the hotels in town. The Sleep Inn is very accommodating with plenty of outlets and parking. Carrabelle's restaurant out front makes it convenient to get good food.

Conditions completely changed from Monday's sunny day practice. Steady rain and overcast conditions made fishing tougher. It took me a few hours to figure out the bigger bass again. Now I've caught my first 15-inch largemouth of the day and have the clue I needed to start my day finding more.
Rain Tuesday on Chickamauga, and I'm on a good shell cracker pattern. The lunch menu is Dayton's finest Japanese Steak House shrimp tempura! Still looking for that first keeper bass.
