Hoping for five

Waypoint marked and hoping for five like this a day. It sounds like the Red River is being stingy to more than just myself.

Tacoronte in search mode

At 9 a.m. ET both Jesse Tacoronte and his co-angler Ryan Kempton had their limits. Tacoronte with his 5-fish pro limit and Kempton with 3 for the non-boater side.

Tacoronte is now in search mode for one more 5-pound bite. He has roughly 17 to 18 pounds. His limit consists of a 5, 4, 3 1/2 and two just over 2 pounds or so.

Meanwhile Kempton has another 11 pounds from the back of the boat and he still hopes to get rid of a 2 1/2 pounder and improve even more.

Tacoronte lives near Lake Toho in Kissimmee, FL and he says he would much rather fish for these smallmouth in New York. That's saying something since Toho is one of the best big fish lakes in the country.

Either way, this Floridian is loving New York and is in the groove at the moment. Two solid culls and he won't have any babies in his livewell.
