Timing a huge factor

Hanging around on the Hard Rock dock this morning, you get the sense that timing is going to be a huge factor today and throughout the Classic. I've heard several anglers say that they're not expecting much to happen for them right off the bat this morning. One angler who asked to remain anonymous characterized it as "spitting in the wind" for the first hour and a half today. He said he's waiting for the sun to warm the water as the day progresses and stressed the need to remain patient while Mother Nature works her magic.

And the changes that occur as temperatures warm today will only speed up over the next two days. Another angler said he's already thinking about how he'll fish Sunday.

Expect conditions to change as the day -- and the Classic -- progresses.
