Storm on the horizon

From the looks of the radar, the anglers in the Carhartt Bassmaster College Series Midwest Regional presented by Bass Pro Shops have gotten off lucky, but that's not the case for later in the day. The huge storm fell travelled from Texas through Oklahoma and has nearly missed Lake of the Ozarks, but high winds and occasional lightening have hung around. The reports from the National Weather Service call for major storms in the afternoon and because of the danger and imminent threat Tournament Director Hank Weldon has called for boats to check in at 1 p.m. instead of the expected 2:45 p.m. CT check. This shortened day wasn't expected, but now teams are preparing to stay safe and try to catch their five-fish limit with an hour and 45 minutes less fishing time.
