No place produces wild swings in Elite Series tournament standings like the Sabine River. Friday was a great example. Only three anglers who started the day in the top 10 finished there. Steve Kennedy jumped from a four-way tie for 65th to 2nd. And Brock Mosley made the biggest leap of all, from 97th place to 8th.
However, Day 1 leader Greg Hackney didn’t budge. With an 11-pound, 15-ounce limit, Hackney increased his lead a few ounces. It was 3-15 over second-place Matt Herren on Day 1. Now it’s 4 1/2 pounds over second-place Kennedy.
Expect more wild swings on Day 3 at the Sabine.
