Prince with the first 4-pounder of the day

Cliff Prince caught the first 4-pounder of the day, according to BASSTrakk. It came at 7:35 a.m. There will be many more to follow from the 35 anglers competing today on Cayuga Lake.

That 4-pounder gave Prince an early limit as well. The veteran Elite Series angler from Palatka, Fla., is in the process of breaking his season-long up-and-down tournament trend by putting together two solid finishes in a row. He finished 26th at the St. Lawrence River last week. He was 26th after two days at Cayuga. And the latest Toyota Angler of the Year standings show him in 41st place, with the top 42 AOY finishers qualifying for the Bassmaster Classic.
