Cliff Pirch is on fire. In the last 15 minutes, he has broken off a big smallie and landed three others. One was short, the other two were in the 2- to 2 1/2-pound range.
Hooked up again! This one he is fighting gingerly. Finally, he reaches down and lands another 3-plus pounder. That one should fill out his limit, likely in the 14-pound range.
So far, he has been casting a drop shot featuring a Senko and a Roboworm. It is awesome watching him work. On the fish before last, he hooked it ... it came off ... then he strummed his line twice like a banjo ... the fish ate it again ... and he landed it. He appears to be catching suspended fish, which is the toughest gig in bass fishing. He is making it look easy.
