Steve Kennedy once again has the 60,000 acres of Lake Moultrie to himself. That’s one reason why many observers think Kennedy will be there in the top 10 at the end of the day. It’s amazing when you think about it: He has the third-largest lake in South Carolina all to himself.
The 51-year-old angler from Auburn, Ala., was 6th on Day 1 and moved up one spot to 5th on Day 2. Kennedy has only a small keeper this morning and just released a bass that didn’t meet the 14-inch minimum. He’s swimming a jig through water willow shoreline vegetation.
“It’s a matter of putting it in front of a big one,” Kennedy said.
