Jeff Gustafson made one cast on his very first spot this morning and caught a 2-pounder. A good start for the Canadian newcomer.
He didn’t start on his juice, rather a secondary spot that produced a 6-pounder for him late on Day 2.
He said he was going to fish through it quickly then hit his main stuff. He just jerked up his Minn Kota and is headed down the lake to the good stuff.
Like much of the field, the bite tends to get better as the day goes on, but a good start is critical to good decisions as the day wanes on.
More to come.
