Gettin’ hot on Harris

James Overstreet just reported the action as fast and furious on Lake Harris where he’s set up to photograph a gallery for Bassmaster.com.

When he arrived about 30 boats were there with many of the anglers already culling. A lily pad field spanning about one mile is the hot spot. Pitching and flipping are the techniques of choice and Paul Elias scored early with a big female.

“I was beginning to think all this area held were males,” he told Overstreet.

That means one thing. The fish are moving up to spawn. One angler reported catching a 10-pounder here during practice. That also means the weigh-in could be a nice, long parade of big bass. Come back for the live weigh-in and stay tuned for more!
