Edwin Evers just put his first keeper into the livewell. Our panel of judges estimate it to be approximately four and a half pounds. A great start to the day for a guy hoping to make a charge on the leader.
We are far up the Elk River in just three feet of water. The water temperature is the warmest we've seen this week at 54.2. And the water here is clear, a big contrast to the chocolate milk we've witnessed on Grand. The bottom is easy to see.
This is already Evers' fourth stop of the day. On the way here he lost us and about 10 spectator boats when he turned left and we all went right. The Oklahoma native clearly knows these waters better than we do.
