The drum bite is on. With one keeper smallmouth in the boat, Gary Clouse has outlasted four other Elite Anglers that started in this general vicinity. The lone angler left in this area is Chris Zaldain.
The participating anglers have all sorted through a series of drum bites down here and the president of Phoenix Boats was the latest to hang a fish that puts up a good fight but means nothing to the greater good.
Clouse is mixing up his presentations and trying lots of things this morning. With the postponement of the start of the tournament and the changing weather conditions this week, not to mention the swift current and rising waters, the slate has been wiped clean for most of the Elite Series Pros.
