Jeremy Bogard of North Carolina got an early start as he left the dock as boat number 2. He has caught one fish that was under the minimum length requirement. The boat traffic has hurt his bite so far, as he has no fish but he is optimistic that the fish are about to start biting.
This week at Douglas Lake the length limit is 12 inches for largemouth and spotted bass, but smallmouth need to be 18 inches and anglers can only keep one.
