A dearth of spectator boats

Fellow blogger Pete Robbins has noted the relative dearth of spectator boats this morning, and we're seeing the same thing here with Bradley Roy in the middle section of the lake.

Roy is fishing an area that affords us a good perspective on main lake boat traffic, and we're surprised that traffic isn't heavier than it is. But there's a lot of daylight left and the traffic situation could easily change.

Our boat driver Nathan Stroup, who has lived in Conroe most of his life and now lives on the lake, cautioned me about talking too much about the lack of traffic, saying such discussion surely will lead to an equal and opposite reality later today.
