Here is a bit of meaningless trivia that will factor into the week.
Chickamauga, Guntersville, Kentucky Lake. All are waterways managed by the Tennessee Valley Authority. But did you know there are some standout TVA lakes not in the Tennessee River system? And not even in Tennessee or Alabama? On the list is Lake Chatuge. There are others, including neighboring Lake Nottley. Both north Georgia impoundments are in the watershed draining into the Tennessee River near Chattanooga.
Enough of the trivia. On manmade impoundments a key stimulator of bass activity on a manmade impoundment is power-generated current. This week there won’t be much of that on Lake Chatuge. Check out the TVA generation schedule for the proof. That will make other environmental influencers—primarily the sunshine—key factors with the bite. Cloud cover will come and go as there is only a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms through the weekend.
