We continue to have a mixed bag forecast for the Classic with nice weather for today, scattered showers and breezy for Saturday, and back to nice weather for Sunday.
We'll start off this wonderful Friday with cool temperatures and sunny skies, with temperatures in the mid-40s around 46 degrees. Clouds will slowly be on the increase throughout the day today, but will still be mostly clear by the mid-afternoon hours. The afternoon high will top out in the lower 70s, around 72 degrees. Dewpoints will slowly be on the rise as well, climbing from the lower 30s in the morning to the lower 40s by the mid-afternoon. Winds will be out of the west at 6-10 MPH.
An upper-level disturbance will begin to move through the area during the overnight and early morning hours on Saturday, and the day will start off with a chance of scattered showers. Temperatures at 8:00 AM will be in the lower 50s around 51 degrees. Those shower chances will continue through the morning and may linger into the afternoon hours, and there is a small chance for a thunderstorm. Rainfall amounts throughout the day will be light, less than 0.10 inches, and the chance of rain will be around 50%. Afternoon highs will top out in the mid-60s around 66 degrees. Dewpoints will continue to increase from the upper 40s in the morning to the mid-50s by the afternoon. Wind could be a little gusty at times averaging 7-14 MPH out of the southwest with gusts up to 20 MPH possible.
The good news is that disturbance moves out of the area Saturday evening, leaving us with an outstanding day for Sunday. Skies will be mostly sunny throughout the day and conditions will stay dry. Temperatures will start off in the lower 50s at 8:00 AM around 52 degrees and will make it into the upper 60s for the daytime high, around 68 degrees. Dewpoint levels will remain steady throughout the day in the upper 40s. Winds will be shifting from out of the north in the morning to out of the southwest by the mid-afternoon hours, averaging 2-7 MPH.
