Carr and McGuire win Michigan Jr. Championship

With a two-day total weight of 19.75 pounds, Cole Carr and Luke McGuire, both 8th grade students at Anchor Bay Schools, claimed the Michigan Bass Nation Junior State Championship. Carr and McGuire commented that they used spinnerbaits on walls and frogs in the lillie pads to catch the majority of their bag. Carr and McGuire sported the pants and cape that Zona and Jordan Lee wore on the ZonaLive show for some great Championship pictures. Both are 1st time MBN Junior Champions and are looking forward to heading to Tennessee for the B.A.S.S National Championship in 2018.

Fenton Bass Fishing team of Henri Sturm and Mitch Straffon finish as Runner Up for the second time. They made a charge at the leaders on Day 2, finishing with 18.83 pounds. Sturm and Straffon will also be heading to Nationals.

Carr and McGuire also had the Junior Big Fish at 4.35 pounds.
