Bethel University’s Cody Huff and Garrett Enders have controlled this event from start to finish so far and were confident coming into today. They started the day with a solid fish catch in the 2 1/2 to 3-pound range. Then misfortune struck this morning as they lost or broke off 4 of their first 5 fish.
At 9 a.m. they landed another keeper, roughly the same as the first. Then they followed it up with a third keeper that was in fact, just a normal keeper above the 16-inch limit. They mentioned they caught two fish that almost made the team, but came up short. The duo just pulled their trolling motor up for the first time today and are idling to fish another dock before making a move from this area.
With a 6-pound cushion, a limit would make it real tough to overtake them.
