On the dock this morning tournament director Trip Weldon briefed the anglers on the delayed start and finish times, which are 8:45 to 1:45 ET.
Jacob Powroznik asked if we could just make it a one hour tournament today and head on home. Ish Monroe raised the stakes and suggested we just call the day off and let both anglers qualify for the GEICO Bassmaster Classic. Weldon, playing along, asking assistant tournament director Chuck Harbin if he could change their flights to today. To which Ish replied, “If you do that I’ll pay for everyone’s tickets.” The crew got pretty excited about that option. But alas we will be fishing today.
It’s going to be an exciting battle, with one of these anglers just about 5 and a half hours away from making the Classic.
