Both anglers got off to a quick start with decent limits yesterday morning on Day 1 of the Geico Bassmaster Classic. When we got on Christie about midday, he had a solid 12 pounds, and culled a little higher as we left him.
The same can be said for Evers. We followed Edwin an hour or so when we left Christie but he went on a small lull. He was catching fish but no helpers.
The late day bite picked up and both anglers made some culls that eluded the cameras. As the leaderboard shows, those culls paid dividends as the Okies lead the Bassmaster Classic in first and second place.
