Cody Huff and Garrett Enders of Bethel University led both Days 1 and 2 of the National Championship and they carried a 6-pound lead into today’s final day. They started the day with a 2 1/2 to 3 pounder, but have lost or broken off three to five other fish under docks.
They’ve been doing almost all of their work with a flutter spoon this week, dropping it in dock slips and fishing marina stalls.
It’s been a frustrating morning, but they still have a 6-pound buffer and one keeper in the box. That will allow them some wiggle room if they don’t catch the size bags like Day 1 and 2.
