There are lots of trees and stumps in Toledo Bend. Great for the bass, and at times challenging for boats. We were poking along carefully, following Brett Hite, and got separated from him. When we got within sight of him we saw him landing what looked to be a large fish. Maybe 6 to 8 pounds! That would put him in the lead. Steve Bowman and I were nearly cursing for missing it. We had been waiting for this moment for hours. But when we finally got close enough to get a better look that big bass turned out to be a 2 and a half pounder. This one didn't even cull. As you see, we can big-eye fish with the best of them too. Hite is moving again, and we're carefully following.
